ABOUT THE SLEEP ATLAS
An independent reference on sleep.
The Sleep Atlas is a library of articles on how sleep works and what disrupts it, along with rankings of the products people buy for the bedroom. It’s written for general readers.
Three rules every page follows.
01 · SOURCES
Health agencies and published research
Facts come from bodies such as the NIH and the NHS and from peer-reviewed studies, and every page links to them.
02 · EVIDENCE
Clear about what’s known
When the research is thin or mixed, the page says so and names what the studies did find.
03 · LIMITS
Where the articles stop
The articles describe how sleep works in general. They do not diagnose anyone or promise results, and they point to a doctor when symptoms call for one.
How the rankings work.
01 · SCOPE
The main options in one category
Each ranking covers the products most people weigh up in that category, with a comparison table of the specifications that matter.
02 · ORDER
Design, specifications, and research
Products are ordered on what they’re built to do, their published specifications, and what research says about the features they rely on. A “Best for” line marks the product that suits a specific need.
03 · UPDATES
Edited in place
When products, prices, or the research change, the ranking is edited and the date at the top changes. The address of the page stays the same.
